OK, this is a long shot, but has anyone ever booted a G4 Xserve without most of its components? I purchased a logic board with CPU and a PSU for an Xserve G4. I'm thinking of testing it by sticking some RAM in and netbooting it.
Currently the parts which are missing (and which I know of) are as follows:
Drive Interconnect Board;
ATA Controller;
Optical Drive;
Hard Drive Modules;
AGP Riser Card;
PCI Riser Card;
Front Panel Board;
Fans;
All internal cables;
All case parts;
Light Pipe;

The case doesn't matter as far as booting goes, neither do the drives if I netboot, Its the other boards I need to know about. Should I be able to netboot it as a makeshift cluster node with just the logic, cpu and psu?
