I would like to see a great white get the same treatment, then we can decide who the real boss is.

Kick ass video!
8 legs vs. a few fins/teeth is unfair though...

Heh, and the sharks only "3-4 feet" in length.

Enteroctopus dofleini (recently reclassified from Octopus dofleini), the Giant Pacific Octopus (as far as I can tell). I think the largest ever recorded was 9.6m tip to tip, and around 280Kg (I could be wrong).

That's a cool video. It's gratifying somehow to see a creature with the sharks reputation get pwned by a slimy eight-limbed weirdo.

Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

You've got to be fsucking kidding me. They never knew octipusses and sharks were not compatible? Jaque Custeau knew this way back when. They did this on purpose or are complete idiots.
You never put natural predators in a tank together. Pet Fishes 101.

It's funny, even though they weren't expecting anything they had multiple camera angles on the octopus.

Darn link doesn't work for me. At least not at the moment. The player window just sits there displaying nothing but black. Even though this does sound interesting - why was a shark put in a cage with an octopus? I'm just questioning the motivation of the humans involved.
cheers

Because in this country you are not allowed to put midgets in a cage with an octopus.

The embedded video didn't load here either, but it played fine in RealPlayer...
From the source code of the page: http://video.pbs.org:8080/ramgen/wne...pus/sharkT1.rm
The speaker is terrible, and the whole video is staged, but other than that:
Pity about the shark, though.

Someone should do something about their poor zoological habbits of putting dangerous and obviously opposing species together. Next you'll see teh following:
- Polar Bear & Penguin tussle.... who'd of thunk it?
- Zebra v. Lion, he had no idea this would happen.... zebra were disapearing by the handfuls.
- Monkees and Gorillas - we kept finding monkee's arms ripped from their sockets for some odd reason with banana's stuffed up their aholes... weird. We decided to put several cameras on the enclosure..
