When listening to a Podcast or a song, the album art shows as a small image. I can press the Select button a couple times to see it, but it only stays up for a few seconds.

Is there a way to keep it up on the screen full size?

It's not a huge deal, I'd just rather see that than the name, etc. And when listening to a podcast with multiple embedded image, it would be nicer.

Not with embedded Podcasts.

What about with regular songs? Even that only last for a few seconds, then goes back to the small image, title, album, and progress bar.

To get back to normal, just press the enter button (middle one) a couple of times.

Sounds more complicated than it really is !..

Note: From that point on, it will ALWAYS display album art. You no longer see the progrss bar, title, etc. For both music and podcasts. To get back to the progress bar, etc. hit "Select" several times. Then follow the directions again to re-enable the feature.

Well, I'm glad to report, with the new 5G (video capable) iPods out, they will display album art forever, without doing the above tricks. Just go to album art during a song (by using the center button), and it stays.

If a song w/o art is playing, it will just stay white. So it might not be the best way to handle it, but I'm ok with it, since most of my music has art along with it.

That's brilliant - I didn't know that was possible!

Thanks!

Just the miniature, and I just noticed that it doesn't stay on for all the songs, even from a single album. I must not be paying attention to the display as much as to the music.

Do any podcasts have "album art?" The two I'm currently following (Stardate and Science Friday-I know, pretty geeky) don't.

Some Podcasts do. Depends on if the Podcaster adds any to the ID3 tags before publishing.

Right, the miniature was always displayed before. But not, the large version (the one you get if you hit "Select" (center button) a few times, will stay up until you hit the button again to make it go away.
