So true. These days, though, it's "I'll be right there as soon as I turn in these quests, check my auctions, buy a new.........." Of course, it wouldn't be so bad if she would just play, too, FFS.

There was a "Baby Blues" comic a while back that went into the opposite difference between men and women. He said "I'm going to get ready for bed" and proceeded to brush his teeth, put on his PJs and hit the sack. She said the same thing and then goes through about 90 minutes of "I need to do this so it's ready in the morning" and "I'd better do this before I go to bed" and so on. So true! (I'd post a link to this strip, but I can't find it right now-they have archives back ten years!)
My wife and I are working on this communication thing: if she plans to eventually get ready for bed she says "I have some things to do before I go to bed." If I have things going on before bed, I say "I have some things to do before I go to bed." What a concept!

This happened a lot this summer, except the roles were reversed. She was addicted to this MMO Fishing Game (yes, fishing game), and would stay up for hours, whilst I begged her to go to sleep.
Oh well.
