Any suggestions for an image viewer that works lie the XP one?

I want one that will let me open a single image in a directory, then the next button will move to the next image in that directory without me having to open it first.

Thanks for the suggestions.

You can "sort of" do that with Preview using the Drawer, but I've found Xee to be pretty handy for image viewing:

There are tons of image viewers around, versiontracker alone lists 56.

Lots of older Macs

Use the slideshow feature of the Finder. Select all the images and control/right-click to get the contextual menu and select Slideshow.

Thanks! Xee does exactly what I wanted. (Too many image viewers out there, so I thought I'd ask instead of trying them all.)

The slideshow feature in the Finder still requires that you select the images you want to open.

True, but command-A select them all and use the contact sheet to view the specific ones you want to see (assuming you have less than 114 images in your folder). If Xee does what you need though then that is moot.
