Does VLC have an option to do this? I though rear projectors usually accepted regular inputs and flipped them themselves?

That's logical, otherwise everything (e.g. broadcast TV and all movies) would need a "play on rear projector" option. Standard input and the TV does the nonstandard flip.

It should be in preferences -> video -> filters -> transformation
AT&T iPhone 5S and 6; 13" MBP; MDD G4.
