OK, a point that has bothered me for some time...small and annoying, like a pebble in your shoe.

When reading email messages, I can go to the next or previous message on my iPhone, in Thunderbird, in Entourage...nearly every mail application, except Apple Mail. When reading through the messages, you have to manually select the next message to read.

In the Leopard screen shots I've seen so far, I STILL do not see a next/previous arrow button to go from one mail message to the next/previous message. I'm going to go to an Apple Store today to try out Leopard, but in case I can't try out the Mail app...is there still the lack of a next/previous button? Or does such a beast exist and I'm not finding it?

yeah, this is aggravating. What'd I like is a right-hand reading pane like in Outlook 2003 and Entourage 04/08. And not the hack that's out there now, it's only average.

Ever try using the down / up arrow keys? Much handier IMO. You can then use page up / page down to scroll through the messages themselves.

I hate the bottom preview pane. It just elongates the message, making it a PITA to read. One has to narrow the entire Mail window to narrow the preview pane -- then we lose column fields or concatenate their data. :
