I,
i just want to BUY a G4 case.
a titanium color but blue is ok.
But as mac products are in a "close-sphere" it was a quite dificult.
I want it to try to built my own PC micro-atx boxes with a so radical design.

So as i can't buy in an apple store (they don't to sell me just the case and it's ok because they sell full computer...) i got the idea to get one from a Apple maintain/repairing station...How you can do if you strip your case and you want to change it?

So if a man that work in a mac repiaring shop or knows who can i contact,
i'll be very happy.

What is the company that design Cases? a web-site? I hope the apple design
will enter in the PC world very soon because they looks like bad ()

That guy made a PC out of a g4 case. I have seen a few cases on eBay, but never really found a vendor for them. Try some place that sells Mac parts online. There is usually a large list in the back of magazines.

If you get a good source, etc. you should post your progress. I am sure others would be interested in knowing of your success in the quest.

I just wanted that for a few things:
- they are beautiful
- they are functional
- you can easily travel them
- you can open them easily
- and i want to do that....

- But it's a silly to build
- A waist of time
- A lot of money for a few things

Then you can say that's a pitty, or that's no use.
It's not a problem. Why people buy deluxe thing why don't they just buy
jeans trousers & t-shirts. Why can you be admirative for art, a picture?
Why can you say yourself that can be yours.

So it's just a problem of people affinity, ideas, and needs.

What on the forum about case modification trouble me the most is that
people don't understand why to update or to replace the heart (motherboard and CPU) by PC parts. If you buy a MAC, it's that you're rich (mac are expensive), you don't know very well computer (you wanted to use the OS and soft not to try to make them works like Linux and Windows). And maybe you love the look. I think MAC people loves MAC (you have Dreamweaver under MAC OS, Words, IE, Netscape, Adobe suite...) so why to buy mac?

And why people needs to buy new CPU, new soft, new power.
I need a text editor, to send email, to surf on the internet...and a few thing higger like GIMP, Blender, PDF, graphism, photos....)

But much of them don't need that, so buy a DreamCast with a Keyboard
make Linux on it it and use it, and maybe a simple typewriter works better
well, for drawing no problem a paper and a pen....and it's OK....
So why technology....why power...why consumation world....
Don't know it's just a trip for me, so i dream, i appreciate life....
and let's people live, why don't just saying "Oh interesting", you
know a ask myself each day about the interest of my life. Maybe
having a wife a family, childs, sun, growing them and your garden can
satisfy you. But actually our world run a many different way.
So don't judge anybody! why judging, understanding the other is so
difficult, just try to do.

That was a really weird post with incredibly stupid "facts" about Mac users. Save your money. The cases by themselves are very very expensive. For the quicksilver, you also need an optical drive with a special-sized tray or it won't fit. If you can find one and buy it, it'll be expensive. By the time you get it all together, you'll be better off buying a G4 533 or so for a little more.
