I can save them a bunch of money.

"Increased newspaper sales (a rarity), politicians have something to talk about, life goes on."

From what I've heard, most of them concern diplomatic gossip. While reading about suspected marital cheating by foreign officials is no doubt interesting, they are politicians after all. Not really shocking. I don't see the cables having a long-term effect.

However, I am interested in that State Department directive signed by Hillary, directing our diplomats to spy on other diplomats. Obtain their CC numbers, computer passwords, etc.

The Post's statement of the "aptness" of the acronym/initials for the task force is quite amusing. So is their position that CIA is taking an "I told you so" stance on the SIPRNET debacle.

I feel as if this happened like this:

CIA: "We need to investigate this!"
Robert Gates: "Guys, I said WikiLeaks is no big deal to national security. Just enjoy your holiday."
CIA: "Nope, we need to investigate this!"
Robert Gates: "Fine. Go create your WikiLeaks Task Force. WTF for short. I'll make a press release."
