Yesterday I downloaded and installed Explorer because Netscape was giving me problems with large forms submissions on my DSL line. For some odd reason, the default downloads folder was set as an invisible folder on the root of the HD called "TheVolumeSettingsFolder" and a couple of things I downloaded ended up there before I changed Explorer's preferences. Now, how the hell do I get the stuff out??? It shows up on Sherlock but I can't drag it out of there as it's "invisible" (grayed out). Has anyone had this problem, and more importantly, solved it? I'm using OS 9.0 at the moment, on a G4 tower.

thanx, Martin.

Use ResEdit or any file utility to make it visible.
In resedit, go to the File menu, and to "Get File/Folder Info".
Choose TheVolumeSettingsFolder.
Uncheck the "invisible" box in the window.
Done

Get ResEdit here.
