GrapeTunes is a fun theme I've been working on for the last 3 or 4 weeks. I tried to embody the stylish new iPods ads into one theme. The direct influence were those buttons to download iTunes on Apple's site. This is the second beta (the first was released on Max's boards), and I hope you all like it (or at least some, to each his own...).

It comes with one guiKit, with built-in safari and iChat themes. It also comes with one modified desktop, and some icons.

Download it here

If you like the whole style of it, but hate purple then you might prefer LimeTunes and TurquoiseBluishGreeishLavenderTunes. They will be realeased later with the final version of GrapeTunes.

Will you be doing other color variations, like the iPod mini maybe?

I am working on green and turquoise-blue variations. Yeah I know, no one likes purple...

(to tell you the truth I don't really like purple )

Hey, as long as you're trying to do an unique color, there's nothing wrong with that. I did a purple theme once and I didn't like the color at all too

Nice to hear, because I was definitely about to make a request.

I have a couple of questions. The pull down menu... is that supposed to be vertically centered with the text... looks kinda odd... second... Why do the push buttons have shadows and nothing else does?

Just something to check out... I love the gloss feel... although I can't see myself using this theme because of the purple... I tend to lean more towards grey/white themes myself...

This looks nice though.

Well the shadow part is easy...
The screen shot I posted above is actually of an older version with shadows, I removed all of the shadows in the latest version. I thought it looked weird for only the push buttons to have shadows, and I was too lazy to add shadows to everything else

And yes I know it's unusable! Only gray/white themes can remain usable, heck I'm using rhapsodized right now. But hopefully the iPod mini themes will break that trend.

Purple fosters creative thinking... at least, according to all those "mood-related" decorators!

Anyway, I happened to like purple very much - and IMO, this theme looks fantastic. It's very clean and "light" looking. I liked the Lantern (green) theme that was released a while ago, but after a few minutes it felt really "heavy" - the purple is quite a nice change.

I'm looking forward to seeing more from you.

A white/silver variation of this theme, or a dark/black variation would be very nice - personally I'm not a fan of the bright colors, looks nice but not useable on a day to day basis.

Anyways, looking great, keep up the good work!

Sorry but I don't think a white variation is in the cards. Too many white and light themes. The blue version will definately be easier on the eyes, or at least my eyes...

I'm glad you all like my theme! I hope to make more themes in the future but I can't promise anything, I'm a very flakey person

Um, it's cool, but the purple is kinda.... Well, I don't like the purple.
Other color variations could be nice though.

I knew it! I read a post that you wanted a GANT theme, the annoying kid in the complab(hehe) told me that he wanted a GANT theme. What a small world...
I also said "Do i know you" but i edited out of my post, man this is weird...

Anyway, yeah I could make that into a theme.

I'm typing this from the complab right now

I was there when he typed that, I assumed he had just closed the window but apparently no, he pressed return.

To be fair, he is a sick f**k...
