The next generation is upon us, and i'm actually kinda excited. It seems like only yesterday we were all frothing over the Wii vs PS3 vs XB360, but that was in 2006, 7 years ago!!! WTF?!?
Anyway.... one game on each console, which you thought was the best this generation?...
Wii: Super Mario Galaxy
PS3: Uncharted (All of em).
Cheers

PS3: Uncharted (All) My personal favorite of any console game this generation.
Honorable mention - Infamous.
Don't own a Wii, no games on it that appealed to me.
360: Don't own and haven't played enough on it to say on all their games. Mass Effect would be the top I've played on it I'd say though.
Honorable cross platform games - Red Dead Redemption and Batman: Arkham Asylum

Wii: Super Mario Galaxy
PS3: Little Big Planet
360: Haven't decided yet which Halo game takes this spot.
Cross Platform: Modern Warfare 2 (Hands down the best multiplayer I've experienced next to Halo 3.)
Honorable mentions - Battlefield 3, Burnout Paradise, Borderlands 1 & 2, Portal 2

Only have an Xbox so ...
MW2 was so good for so many reasons. Camaraderie, gameplay, fun. Even with the hacks, OMA and quickscopers. BF3 was very good, but I could never get more than 2 people to party up.
Borderlands (1+2) : proves that a game doesn't have to be pretty.
Skyrim : don't think that I've put in more hours for any other non-CoD game.
Forza Horizon : for its beauty.

Xbox 360: Halo 3
Wii: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
PS3: ?
Cross Platform: Fallout 3
No PS3 games played to vote, and very little Wii but Skyward was an easy pick from the games I did play.

Can't comment on the individual consoles, but my favorite game since the launch of the Xbox 360 has to be Civilization IV with the Beyond the Sword expansion. Other great games of the era... Fallout: New Vegas was a better game than Fallout 3, IMO, but I know that the launch was rocky enough to disqualify it in the minds of many. Also, as I've said before, I think Oblivion is a better game than Skyrim. Honorable mention to ME2.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

I've never played any exclusive PS3 games, nor have I played the Wii enough to form any opinion of the games other than "I'd rather play them without this motion controller."
In fact, just last night as I laid in bed I had a random thought...."I'm going to make a gaming thread about what everyone's favorite game of the the last generation was" but sadly I was beaten to the punch...
At any rate I'm simply going to list my favorite game, which was originally played on Xbox 360, but I've also played in on the PC.
Fallout 3. Sure NV is technically a "better" game, but nothing ever compares to your first, and the first game I really let myself become absorbed into since Ocarina of Time was Fallout 3. Skyrim is a much more beautiful, and functional, game through and through. In fact, if it wasn't for my deep love of F3 I think I'd have to say Skyrim.
Honorable Mention(s): Orange Box, Left4Dead, Metro 2033, Bioshock, MW2, Halo 3, STALKER.
Obviously all these games are FPSes (even though I play the Bethesda games in 3rd person alot too) and I don't know what to say, other than it is my preferred view for gaming. This is not meant to serve as a judgement on those games I didn't mention (and didn't play) like AC, Mass Effect, etc, ehich I'm sure are quite amazing in their own right. To be quite honest, the world of gaming is too vast an ocean for me to play all the titles I think look amazing, so I tend to stick with FPSes.

I would breakdown DLC into two categories, arcade games & game add-ons.
Arcade Game: LIMBO
Game Add-on: Borderland's - General Knox
(Gears of War 3 - RAAM's Shadow is a close second.)

Good thread, I was actually planning on posting this when I got back today. I would expand it to list for each genre, though. 6 years is a long time to just name one game.

So I think my top games this gen are MW2, AC:B, and RDR, off the top of my head. I think BF3 gets an honorable mention.
Interestingly, I find BioShock has no room in my heart. I've begun to wonder if it isn't a little over-rated and that some of its fame was earned from just being early in the gen.

Xbox 360 Arcade:
Shadow Complex, The Walking Dead, Trials Evolution
Xbox 360 DLC:
General Knox for Borderlands and Big Island Surf for Burnout Paradise

Zelda Skyward Sword and Mario Galaxy

What I loved about Shadow Complex was its side scrolling Metroid style gameplay. Pretty awesome.
