To accompany its
iPhone and
Watch announcements, Apple has launched a redesigned phone edition of its
website. It sports a flatter look, in keeping with iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite, and includes a drop-down menu for jumping to different product categories or the online store. Depending on the product, further submenus are hidden as drop-down items or immediately swipable.
Product images and details are displayed alternately in a vertical scroll or in swipable slideshows. Prior to today, mobile devices going to
apple.com were presented with the full desktop website.
