That's fine, two deep floors will let me run cabling and use only half as many covers.
Will be on later tonight

Llamas can't be trusted.
I am exploring. I did use your forge to make a stone hammer.

So I was pondering. What does everyone think of calling this the "2018" server. Give ourselves the rest of the year with it, see how it goes, but expect that in 2019 we'll all probably be bored and ready to move on to a new server.
Thoughts?

I would love to settle into this server more than usual, I won't have the time to blitz the tech tree so I'm going to focus more on large projects and really have something to show for our effort this time.

One more session should get that tree problem solved, fatty. I may have to temporarily remove a quarter of the floor above but it'll get done.
I also logged on a 4 am during a bout of insomnia and made the first strides towards our legit set up.
We should go on a mission to collect more ghost tears and blaze rods and nether ores next time we're on together

I'm impressed by the fact that my mob grinder has stopped spawning mobs while in near darkness with freakin' cursed earth.

I found this, its a bit old. The disabling chuck loaders and letting the chunks unload is worth a try.

Thanks. I feel smart because that was my best guess. I pulled up my chunkloader before I logged.
To be fair, I'm not sure there's even a point for cursed earth in this modpack.

I finally have our power generation working. Running low on resources, though. Think it might be time to head to Deep Dark, fatty.
Oh, does anyone know how to see chunk borders? Its not f9 anymore.

Alright fatty, copper stores are horribly low. To a lesser degree tin. That's my next mission. If you happen to gather ores don't process them in the smeltery.
I've made a few toys for you during the weekend that I'll hopefully have time to show you tonight. After that we can talk some creative stuff for the base.

Might not be on tonight, but signing on for a bit now. I'll focus more on mining the Y levels that yield copper and tin in the Deep Dark, as for designs, if you decide on something make a small mock-up and I can always repeat the pattern if I'm the only one on.
Cyclopse, the Deep Dark appears to have no mobs? Also, the enemy mobs in Overworld seem really toned down, not that I'm complaining, just curious.
Edit: Got two and half stacks of copper no prob but tin is pretty rare apparently. Ore is in the smeltery chest.

I didn't remove mods from the deep dark; maybe the pack did. I did in fact 'crank up' the mods by one difficulty level in the over-world. I think our other world just had really tough mobs by comparison...

Fatty: Creative ideas - empowering area and enchanting area.
Also we gotta decide on what the main chamber walls should be, the ceiling, and the flooring for the main and above floor.

The fluid transposer was handy when i needs a bunch of concrete. Botania makes all the dyes easy to get.

Don't you guys remember that fancy auto-placer/piston/auto breaker set up I made to solidify concrete because I didn't know about the fluid transposed nor that it worked with concrete?
One of the funnier realizations when I was playing alone late last year
Edit: I was referring to immersive engineering concrete (ie)

Question for everyone: the server can now let me upgrade to the current version (either 1.9 production or 1.10 beta). Do we want to upgrade or has it been working fine as-is? It would go without saying I'd do a server backup first.

I'm travelling the world, admiring all the biomes. You guys have all mastered nuclear fusion etc, I'm sure, my next upgrade will be a backpack to hold all the saplings I'm finding. Many villages mapped. Sequoia and lavendar field biome intersection was quite lovely.

Call me cynical, but I lagged out as soon as you logged on blaze and I don't think it was a coincidence. Was having problems when you were afk today also.

I think it has more to do with me logging in that anything in my base. It's not in the over world dimension so the dimension loading could lag the server a little but shouldn't be that bad. And I'm not running any chuck loaders.
Just checked the tips and its only 5ms. Well below the 20ms. In-fact when i go to the over world the tsp's swap.

I thinking the server might have locked last night. I was booted, timed out trying to reconnect before the server disappeared for a few minutes. Afterwards it ran fine.
I do have a chunkloader running until I have my power and mob grinding sorted out.

I just logged into the server and instantly exploded from a creeper in our base. There's also chickens here, which makes no sense. Little perturbed.
Edit: There was nothing there when I logged off, and I had the chunkloader limited to a single chunk which is not what I was in.

I just checked the server logs and whatnot and I"m not seeing anything unusual on that side. What you are describing is... well... odd.
The only things I can do server - side would be to fully turn off (not delete, just turn off) our old server and give the current one a bit more memory.
Oh, and possibly upgrade the server to 1.9

No, it's definitely a glitch. I think it's related to a mob grinder nearby. For extra WTF it duplicated some of the blocks that blew up. Even weirder journeymap showed like 4 other creepers but those disappeared.
I've also been suffering from what I'd think was a prank of a hidden pig in the base except it doesn't show up anywhere. But i hear it constantly. It could be related to llamas outside – except the sound is glitched if that's the case because they're outside and I hear them inside.

Andi, I had an idea the other day. Dakar and I realized we need chorus fruit from the end. We haven't found an end fortress though. Would you like a quest to give your exploring a direction? We'll supply the ender eyes.
