Definitely one of my all-time favorite final exam activities. Too bad that I only have two more semesters to partake of frustration release on machined parts.

LOL!

Just joking, of course... Hadn't thought about the "apple" thing: the icon is very cute, IMO, anyway... And if you mean Piazza Duomo in Milan, there won't be many penguins - but surely there'll be pigeons (piccioni di merda!)!

P.S.: Tux is very cool! It would be interesting to have a similar mascot for Mac OS X: I wonder what that could be, besides Darwin's well-known Hexley...?

As for KDE on OS X, I used it when I had 10.1; as I reinstalled 10.2/Jaguar from scratch, I'm waiting for the new Fink 0.5.0 binary release, due this month - and then I'll reinstall KDE, the GIMP, etc. Fink is, at present, the most powerful and up-to-date system for installing UNIX software on OS X, IMHO...

(Tenter di "decifrare" appena avr un po' di tempo... Ho avuto una settimana abbastanza faticosa...)

Thr GIMP animal is cutie.. but as a 3D animal i have a small jaguar that hangs on hte backpack i bring my iBook around.. *raurgh..

mii.. (ma non hai mai sentito nominare un certo provider libero'? mb.. punto indovinache?)

..and as real animals, have 2 cats but they live at my parents..
i guess their home page is outdated, they had it at mac.com .. i think i will simply teach my cats to do web pages so they can do their page themselves.. haha, with 10.2 obviously..

(poi come dovrei interpretare il pniguino che ha la mela???)

You mean this one?...

Yeah, looks very intelligent and witty!

As for the penguin with the apple, of course it's the logo of Mac on Linux (MOL) (which lets you run the Mac OS la Classic environment in PPC Linux, BTW): well, the interpretation is pretty simple - Tux (Linux) loves the apple (Mac OS): seamless integration...

(Penso di aver capito l'email; ma devo prima pensare a qualcosa di "intelligente" che potrei scrivere: sono troppo stanco adesso - i forum sono anche un bel modo per rilassarsi un po'... )

Anyway, the GIMP "animal" is great, IMO - especially with the French "painter hat" on... I'd only wish that the next GIMP release (2.0?) will have a better interface, more "integrated" and Photoshop-like!

Minchia! Nulla saccio di 'sto "ielloddogglinuchese"! Bih - che mmminnchia ?!? (Sorry, my Sicilian is rather "pathetic"!)

Seriously, it seems to be a very good PPC distribution, together with SuSE and Mandrake. The main disadvantage is that you have to re-partition your hard drive in order to install it: personally, I would have a little more patience, and wait for Fink 0.5 (which should be available as an "easy install" binary before the end of this month)...

Hey Bianca, I heard that you are some kind of Linux/Tux geek (no offense)...
How do you like these:

In my room, on my desk:

FYI, it's the big one (56cm)

And another one in my car:

Although I'm sorry for how it looks , my girlfriend (who actually took this picture when we were going to Venice, this was still in Austria) did this to my little Tuxy...
