ok, I've looked in the FAQ and all over. I just want to know how your "Status" on the boards changes? When does Junior become... whatever? what are the min posts to go on? I'm not trying to win any contests, I'm just trying to figure out what they all mean... ?

And, if you know where I should have found it on this site, so much the better!!

Thanks,

Markian

With 20 posts in 2 years you should be a "senior member" by 2010.

The "Status" item under your name indicates whether you're online or not at the moment.

OK, dude, I'll actually try to give you a serious answer, here:

At 50 posts, you become a "Member";
At 100 posts, you become a "Senior Member";
At 250 posts, you become a "Veteran Member":

Which is as far as I've gone, anyhow. Someone with a more exaulted post count will have to fill it in from there.

I believe 'Elite' comes at 500 .. not that'd I'd know from personal experience. Maybe 1000 - "Addicted", but I'm not sure. Maybe they could put some other stats in there as well (Posts per day in the last week, month, year, total) etc.

over 1000 posts in under a year should be grounds for banishment - for your own good as well as ours.

most of them are at work. and my posts per day isnt terribly above the average, and nowhere near some other people.

ah. thanks for the real answer.

And yeah, I know, only 20 posts in 2 years. Actually, I was last on the forums when I lived in Japan. I wanted to post earlier this week, and tried my usual user names for online stuff, and lo, I had an account!!!

It was painfully slow from japan!

I have to say ... I felt guilty the second I hit the "Submit" button on that one! I was just kidding, you know.

Of course, if you look at this board a little too carefully, it would be easy to conclude that nearly all the posts here are fairly stupid!
