I ordered mine (1ghz, 1gb, SD, etc) yesterday, so from what I hear, I have a while to wait. The good thing though was that all the extras I ordered with it (pro mouse, case, etc) will arrive to me tomorrow!

Thats alright though - should arrive along with my college admission acceptance letters.

ME TOO! And I let Apple know that the wait is unbearable. I call them several times a day and if i try hard enough I could bring the store server down by checking the order status enormously.

Taiwan - get going. What are they celebrating that keeps them from working?

Day 6? It's day 9 (business days) for some of us. Apple getting them to online retailers faster than to just switched end-users is rediculous. Think outside the pocket Apple, think about the PC->Mac switcher

Well, I'm a new switcher myself and I ordered the 1GHz combo, not the SD, so I kinda expected it to at least ship by now, seeing as the online store said it would ship in 3-5 days. Grr...some people got there's 3 days after they ordered!

You guys think the wait is bad...How about those of us around the World! It's bad enough in Canada (I'm expecting at least another week and a half), let alone the UK or Australia or somewhere! I just can't wait though...upgrading from an old Biege G3 Desktop....that thing had just gotten way too old and slow!!

So 3-4 weeks plus shipping time. I ordered Nov. 6. Three weeks would be Nov. 27. Four weeks would be Dec. 4.

So I'm thinking at the earliest, delivery Nov. 29. At the (hopefully) latest, Dec. 10. (Canada)

That magical Nov. 19 shipping date everyone was quoting has now come and gone.

I got sick of waiting today and cancelled my order and bought my superdrive at the Apple store in the mall. They royally screwed me on the RAM though. "The $40 upgrade is 'while supplies last' and we don't have any so the offer isn't valid anyway even though we told you on the phone two hours ago that you'd have it". At least I've got my gz Ti and my new NON APPLE RAM will be here tomorrow! Anyone wanna buy 2 256gig ramslot plugs? :-]

I continue to anxiously await my TiSD, as well.

I kick myself, a little, after posting in another thread here, 2 nights ago on Sunday, that I'd discovered that Small Dog Electronics had "11 units in stock" - but decided against cancelling my Apple Store order and ordering one from them. OTOH, their units had 2 x 256MB ram, and I keep reminding myself that not only do I get the educational discount from Apple, but will also pay only $40 for doubling my ram to 1 GB.

Still, had I ordered from smalldog.com Sunday night, they'd have shipped yesterday, and tonight I'd be enjoying my new TiSD, instead of repeatedly checking my apple web order and seeing "being assembled" ................

My 867 spent 4 days being assembled, then spent 5 days somewhere between the factory and the airport, then got on a plane to Luxembourg and hasn't arrived yet.

Ordered mine on the 9th and no sign of it yet. You think you're M A D(nice artwork Eug especially since you didn't hit edit). 867's were supposed to ship immediately and I'm waiting almost as long as I would have if I'd ordered a SuperDrive!

Shhhhh.... Don't tell anyone, but the "Preview" button is your friend.

Actually, it's a single JPEG. Once I finished the thing and pressed "Submit" I was told I had too many images in the message, despite it allowing me to use that many in "Preview".

So what you're seeing is an (edited) screengrab of the "Preview".

The local shops here say "a couple of weeks". There is no Apple Store here, although supposedly one is coming.

By the way, I have listed the info for my order here.

smalldog.com has 9 (more or failed purchases?) 1ghz/superdrive powerbooks. i swear, if smalldog.com has already had 20 of these things and people that ordered them the day they came out havent received theirs, this will be the last apple computer i ever own. this is annoying to the point of offensive. save christmas my ass, my name is chris and im a pissed off newly switched apple user.
