Being new on this platform- my question is ' What are the most popular Flight Simulator programs running native in OS X ?
My ears are open, cause I miss FS 2002 from windoze.
Thanks...

I've seen Fly II in the local Apple store, and that's about it. Anybody else?

X-Plane, Fly! II, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 (yes it's coming to the mac).
I would recommend X-Plane above all, though.

Also, Graphic Simulation http://www.graphsim.com is coming out with a new version of F/A-18 for the Mac in January called Hornet Iraq. Should be a great fighter flight sim with GSC great Hornet history.
Of course there web site hasn't been updated in months but I've called them about it few times.

So what is X-Plane all about? Is it a serious flight sim or more of an arcade shooter?

Serious? Probable the most serious of them all! X-Plane (though I've never used it) probable has more going for it than any other sim out there. http://www.x-plane.com

The newest Fly II game is *very* slow. You'd need oneof the newest Power Mac G4s just to use it at a decent speed.
X-Plane would be the way to go. Lots of dedicated users, updates are released all the time for OS X, and lots of planes and other downloads for free.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 is suppose to be in development for OS X, but that was said to be true over a year ago and no new news.
