Hey guys, I'm really bored. And I'm really broke. So I'm raising the stakes.

If you beat me at Unreal Tournament 2003 or Quake III: Arena deathmatch/Rocket Arena 3 on a server I ping about fifty to I will give you fifty bucks. In fact, if you really beat my ass down by more than 50%, I'll give you a hundred bucks. You choose the server. However, it's got to be on one of the original maps, and I have to agree to it. Cost of admission is $1 per 20-frag match deposited to my PayPal account. I almost posted this with admission being free until I realized I could make some money off of it. If you just want to play me for fun and not win $50, that's cool too. Just don't waste my time.

The reason I'm posting this challenge is because I'm just godlike at both games. No one from MacNN will beat me, but I'd like to see some of you try.

And here's a disclaimer: I reserve the right to refuse anyone a match. Your account can't have been created after the posting of this message (so people just can't join up to rape me in Quake if they're a professional gamer or something).

Admittedly, I have been beaten by "K9-makaveli" and other world-class Quake deathmatchers, but I've yet to be beaten by someone who isn't famous for their elite Quake skills. And I've yet to meet someone nearly as consistently awesome as I am in Unreal Tournament 2003.

I do PayPal.

In a realm beyond site, the sky shines gold, not blue, there the Triforce's might makes mortal dreams come true.

Gosh darn, everyone really sucks. I just got four flawless victories in a row in 20-frag matches on an Unreal Tournament 2003 server. 80 frags without a single death.

I see a problem with this.
UT2003 is not a mac game.
This is a mac game forum.

Maybe spend a little less time playing and a little more time paying attention to where you post would help?

What you offer is gambling. In the US it's forbidden (except Nevada). If you live in the US you can get into trouble with the FBI. Just my 2 cents.

Actually, gambling is legal in a great many US jurisdictions, including Nevada, various Indian reservations, New Orleans, the Biloxi gulf coast, Atlantic City and Detroit.

Just an FYI.

LOL. Imagine the FBI breaking up a $1-a-Quake-match gambling ring.

Silly people.

Why not? I'd like to see him busted (then he can play UT with his 'friends' in prison). While you're in there please drop the soap!

In case you are wondering I believe that if you actually made a bet on your Quake skills it would be, if you were convicted, most likely a class c misdemeanor...the lowest class of crimes. The max fine is $500 in most states.
