Hypersensitive DVD Player?

	On my (slot-loading) iMac DV, I have found that many, many DVDs which play fine on other players fail on my iMac, displaying a message saying that the disc is scratched or dirty. I guess the discs may be somewhat dirty since they are from a public source, but they work fine on other computers. Do other slot-loading iMac users have similar problems? How about tray-loading users? Is it just my computer, or are some iMacs hypersensitive? Thanks for your input.
