i have a g4/400 agp.

i was running this machine without problems (on OS X) with two memory sticks: 64 pc100 and 128 pc100. then i installed a 256 stick of pc133 (SyncData 256mb PC133). since then i have had nothing but trouble. apps quitting, system crashing. system corruption. and when i try to reinstall os x the installer always quits at some point before completion. if i remove the pc133 stick, os x installs fine, and is stable.

if i run MacTest Pro g4, for example, the memory tests show no problems, even with the pc 133 installed. so i am a little puzzled. could it be the there might be a problem with mixing pc100 and pc133 in the same machine.. or are there known problems with the g4/400 agp and using pc133 with pc100 together? any help would be greatly appreciated

No, no known issues or trouble whatsoever. Infact, it should be working just fine, it is in my case and like a dozen other people I know are having absolutely no problems with their mixed configurations at all.

I think the additional stick you bought, the PC133 stick, is defective. The trouble started after you installed it, so get it out as soon as possible and get it replaced.
