Need some help on a great deal...
I've seen a great deal on German import 12" PB Combo sealed in box for 980. Will the keyboard differ from a UK or US model?
TIA

Hi
The keyboard differs very slightly, just some symbols like @ and a few other, but not the important keys.
I'm telling you this on my own experience, I'm from Spain, then I went to live to London and now I'm in Chicago, so as you see I had to change the kind of keyboards a few times, and I didn't have any problems, you get used to it pretty quick.
But still think if it's worth it, afterall, if you do the conversion, you just save $200.

maybe you could resell it on eBay and get a regular US/UM model ;-) If you do it right you could save even more than $200..

Not sure if there will be much demand for a German keyboard PB on eBay.
Oh well, back to looking after those pennies

Just the one - from an ad in Loot.
What should I be careful about? That it's "off the back of a lorry"?

yeah...off the lorry.
And in the Loot...I don't know man....
Sounds spooky. How is the deal done on it?
The keyboard might be a bit different. I am norwegian, and we have 3 extra letters on our keyboards. .
I have a uk powerbook, so the norwegian symbols are not there, but if you change the keyboard to norwegian (in the OS), you learn pretty quick where they are...same goes for the other way I guess...

Go round to pick it up (address in London) and pay cash for it. But now I'm a bit dubious, especially if i don't get a US or UK keyboard
So it's back to the original plan of waiting to go to Hong kong to pick one up cheaper than here in UK.
