Interesting that Nintendo have decided that Americans don't like black gadgets, whereas Canon have come to the opposite conclusion (The new Powershot S50 camera is black in North America, silver the rest of the world). Oh well.

Well I decided to try to order the Black one from Amazon.co.uk, and it seems that they'll only ship it to people in the EU or select other countries like Iceland. So that lead is a dead one.

Any one have any recommendations for organizations that will ship me one?

if youre in in new york, i think theres game stores downtown that stock import gaming things. im sure they have japanese import GBA SPs at only a slight markup, you know, assuming the black one is that important to you.

That's true. Little Korea under 34th St. has lots of imported Gameboy systems for only about $10 more than current street prices.

Yea, I am actually in NYC. So if you know of any names of stores, that would be great! I work in the village too, so there has to be something, isn't NYC known for this type of things? Otherwise, I'll probably just take it to ebay.

I know its a vanity thing, it's just the way I am. This way it wont be all yellowed plastic like the silver ones after the paint rubs off.

just incase any one cares, I just recieved my black game boy. I wound up purchasing it from eBay. Just got it today and the thing looks beautiful. If anyone wants me to take pictures I will. The black is that of the PS2, and it doesn't look like it's gonna rub off.

Finally got mine, though the first one I purchased had a bunch of glowing dust in the screen that got caught between the LCD and the diffuser. It wouldn't be so bad if the screen wasn't side-lit, but it really shows up. Finally I can see what's going on in Castlevania!

but for all you with ZELDA 4 SWORDS...
that game is freaking FUN AS HELL!!! i got it today w/ my buddy, and we got a link cable...but one question...how the hell do we save our game/status?!
everytime i go back to 4 swords i get the stupid intro alll over
