I'm looking for any Brenthaven 17" backpack pictures. The only ones I've seen are the ones at the Apple Store.
If someone could post some pictures I'd appreciate it. Should be getting my 17" next week!

I have, and I am very pleased with it. I'll try to post pictures tomorrow if I get a chance.

Do the Apple retail stores carry the Brenthaven backpack? I'm going to be in Minneapolis next week so I'll check the Apple Store there.

Yes, most of them I have visited in the Bay Area do.

Does anybody know if I could buy the Brenthaven sleeve as a separate item? I'm interested in the sleeve coming with Brenthaven bag (horziontal) or backpack (vertical?). Any infos on this?

No you cannot, unfortunately.
Still more unfortunately, the Brenthaven sleeve is the best sleeve for the PB17 that there is. It looks and feels very well constructed (and expensive, which it is!), and is superbly padded. It gives you the feeling that the PB17 will survive a fall from a few floors up in this thing (don't try it though!)

What a bummer. I have the same impression as you, Brenthaven sleeve offers the best protection. But I already have a backpack, why buy another one for $179?! Seems too expensive to me.
Has anybody seen the "Tucano Second Skin Folder" (Neopren)? They sell it for 17" PB in Europen Apple online stores, costs about $30-40. It's a sleeve, too, also available for 12", 14", 15" (iBook, PB).

Is it the same sleeve with Brenthaven backpack and bag or is the one for the backpack vertically oriented?

How are they going to sell the Brenthaven backpack if no one can see any pictures of the darn thing? If someone has one, please post some pictures.
I'm down to 3 choices that I like (and 3 very different bags):
1. Brenthaven backpack
2. Waterfield Racer X (I already have a Cargo Bag)
3. Willow Design Vermillion

Use your existing bags by using a scissors and some duct tape (in a color that matches your bag).
Ta-da! you now have a bag that a 17" bag worthy of John Holmes.
