Hi,

I have decided, considering all the posts I've been reading for the last 3-4 months, that the Titanium Powerbook (867 Mhz or 1gh) is a more powerful computer if compared with the new 12".

But there are some parts that are expected to be replaced as time goes by (like the battery, for example).

First question: How many parts are expected to be replaced as time goes by? (like the battery, for example).

Second (and critical question): Will these parts continue to be produced for the Titanium Powerbook (867 Mhz or 1gh)? Till when?

I'm affraid that if I buy the Tibook, these parts would no longer be available in a coulple of months.

Thanks

Andre.

At least three years after the last one is sold, new, by Apple, to cover AppleScare customers.

Companies like MCE/BTI make batteries indefinitely. There is still a market for PowerBOok 3400 batts. Offical apple batteries will be, at the bare minimum, three years, probably longer.

Nothing to worry about.
