So this thread was closed because it was "ab bit nipply".

That's too silly. Even if you could see nipples in any of the images (you can't) what could be so bad about it? Marking the thread as not job save would have been fine, but censoring the human body ("god forbid - nipples under the t-shirt") is just silly. Prudery.

I agree, however the servers are in the US, so the admins have to deal with the prudish US laws (and prudish US society).

True, but there are younger people who browse these forums, and the last thing MacNN needs is someone's mother to see pictures of scantily clad (and yes, there was even one nude, though nothing was actually visible except ass) women and to sue for exposing her precious child to such filth. Such things are not unheard of, and even if it's likely that MacNN would win the case, it would be bad press and expensive.

I see fully nude women in TV commercials every day. I see topless women in the swimming bath. Kids are there from 1 year old.

Nobody gets sued for having breasts and not hiding their nipples.

Trust me, the repressedness of the US is far greater than you (or I, for that matter) could possibly comprehend. There is no nudity in broadcast television or even non-pay cable channels. Women wear tops when they go swimming unless it's at a private pool where they are allowed to go topless. I can't even begin to explain how backwards we are here in regards to the human body and sex.

Yeah, repressed people, people needing medicines, the rights of the unborn -or whether they should have any, what fight will Bush-n-crew start next, are important and valueble topic areas that require moderation.

Who gives a crap whether or not we see a glimpse of whoever's nipple or butt or whatever. It's small and petty and doesn't matter.

The line is overly indecent material -partial nudity is not indecent or immoral. Insofar as sexually suggestive -we have nine year olds emulating Britney, Christina, Pink and heaven's knows what else. Besides, they'll get bored with it and just move on.

Well, "backwards" in the sense that most of Europe left it behind thirty or more years ago, and that the trend appears to lean even more towards the conservative (or reactionary) in the recent years.

"Different" is probably a better word.

Utterly incomprehensible sometimes, and often just...weird...

In places like these it's just annoying to have to deal with, but it's a different world.

(And stick to "different", we all know America bombs people that disagree.
