1) Its slow. Just as slow as using IE for OS X.
2) Its a CPU hog. On my DP 1.25, it made to processor hover between 50-75%. Not a good sign.
3) Its really not doing a whole lot. Email accesses your Hotmail account. MSN messenger is MSN messenger. Calendar is probably the biggest thing.

Sorry, but it still has a way to go. Esp. since XP users can use the interface free of charge with a Hotmail account and Mac users have to pay (Thank god for the free 2 months.).

I think someone else summed it up correctly: Once you split the functions into unique programs, its a better method of computing. The time of 'in your face' surfing is nearing an end. Give them a web browser, a chatting program, a PIM program and a calendar and get out of the way!

Oh well, time to call and cancel my account!

it is a new rendering engine. Per MS, it renders pages faster. hard to tell if it does, but rendering engine seems a bit buggy.

occasionally it will grab a lot of CPU and requires a quit/relaunch of the app to go back to normal.

overall, not bad, but i think it is a bit behind AOL for the type of service it is trying to offer.

we'll see if updates help.

i.e. 6 would seemingly be in the works with a new rendering engine...
