Over on Slashdot they linked to the Ximian interview.

The interesting thing is that they say it builds with Fink. Anyone done this? From the screenshots I may actually like it better than KDE.

Thats news to me. I don't even see ximian listed in the fink database. Maybe someone has built it via fink but fink doesn't have it yet.

Very first answer in intervew:
"Nat Friedman: Evolution *does* build and work on OS X with little or no fuss, especially if you have fink going; there are half a dozen tiBooks at Ximian HQ all of which run Evolution. Apple is cool. We like Apple. But we're not going to spend a lot of time porting and supporting our stuff on Mac OS X..."
I think it means it is easier to make work with fink installed, not that you can install it via fink. Fink probably makes installing the dependencies easier.

I was going to try and build it, but I guess it isn't going to be downloadable until next week.
I'd expect that, since it is based upon Gnome, that if you've installed Gnome with Fink it should compile without much trouble.
