I am considering either a new Powerbook or a new Ibook. I don't really need the "power" of a Powerbook but the video spanning, clamshell mode, and higher refresh rate(I belive?) are very tempting things. Also does anyone currently use their Ibook with video mirroring and experience eye strain with a CRT. I also know that there is a hack for the Ibook. Would that possibly increase the refresh rates for video mirroring on the Ibook?javascript :smilie(' ')

I am not sure but the Ibook should be able to pump out XGA at 100hz external.

Clamshell was only available on the older PBooks (current 15" style). I've heard that one of the Jag updates didn't make it possible anymore either. May want to do some heavy research before buying.

Actually, clamshell mode should work on all powerbooks. It works on my friend's 12" and TiGig...
