I just recently purchased the Sony Ericsson T616 in Silver and when you open iSync you will see that it is recognized as the T610. That's not really a problem. But the phone by default is red. Being as anal retentive as I am, I wanted it to match my actual phone so I created the icon. Thought I'd share:
Right Click and Save As...
Brushed Aluminum T616/T610 iSync icon
And if you don't like the icon, here's the original Apple supplied icon:
Right Click and Save As...
Original Red Brushed Aluminum T616/T610 Apple Supplied iSync icon
To install the silver one, go to this path:
Hard Drive/System/Library/SyncServices/BTConduit.bundle/Contents/Resources/
And drop the new icon in there and replace the old one. You may have to change permissions on the Resources folder by doing a Get Info if you haven't edited this folder before.
To revert to the old icon, download the original one from the link above and change the name from "T610old.tiff" to "T610.tiff", and then drop it in the Resources folder replacing the edited one.
As a note, please make sure iSync is quit when you are changing icons. As soon as you restart iSync the change in icon will take place. You don't need to remove the device and then re-add it. Enjoy!

This has always bugged me but not to the point of designing a new icon. But hey, I installed it and it looks great! Thanks!!

What about the phone? I've been trying to find out if this T616 is for me but almost nobody has reviewed it. I understand the big differences (compared to the T610) are battery life and GMS 850 instead of GMS 900. And that the new GMS 850 frequency is supposedly a higher-quality US-only band that uses almost as much juice as an an analog phone--hence the 5 hours talktime as opposed to 14 on the T610. Everything else is supposedly the same and the T610 has gotten lousy reviews for RF reception and screen-visibility in bright daylight.
Oh, and iDriveX, if I get the T616 I'm sure I'll use your matching icon so TIA.
Maybe TIA means Therefore I'm Anal, who knows?
