I was wondering what people's new PB order status was in the UK, as there are only a handful of people admitting to be in the UK in the other thread.

My stock (not BTO) 15" 1.25 GHz Powerbook is still "Being Assembled" as of this post and was ordered at 5:30 pm on 17/9. I need it for next week when I'm going to Uni!

How is everyone else's order coming along?
PM G4 DP 500 MHz, 768 Mb, DVD-ROM, 85 Gb, Mac OS X 10.3.9
PB G4 1.25 GHz, 512 Mb, DVD-R, 80 Gb, Mac OS X 10.4

Seems that the Apple Store in Europe now is quoting 9-11 days for the 17 inch pb.. seems those who were tardy with their orders will have to wait - and wait..

Woah - that is a very long time, indeed! I called the Apple store today to check when mine would ship and the guy said that it would ship today (Wednesday), but my order status still says "Being assembled". Damnit.

I am paid next thursday so I will only have all the money in my account then. at what stage will the money be taken out of my account, when i order on the phone or the day the powerbook ships. If its the day the powerbook ships could I then go ahead and order it tommorow and the money will be in the account when it ships.

Well, my online order status has changed to "Shipped"! Woohoo! Should be here early next week...

They're shipping them via "Kuhne & Nagel" - the same people that shipped my iPod in June.

Just curious what was the first day those were available?
If a group of mimes are miming a forest and one falls down, does he make a sound?

Jigsaw have had stock showing on their website for a couple of days now and I think Micro Anvica began showing stock as soon as they added Apple Expo Paris Announcements banner to their website at the beginning of this week.

They shipped my iPod as well. They were terrible. I had to go out all day (I can't just take a day off college to receive a parcel!) so we left a note on the door saying take it to the garage next to our house, and ___ will sign for it.

But they wouldn't accept that. I had to sign for it, since it was addressed to me. And since I was out in office hours, we were stuck.

I had to phone Apple to change the shipping address to the bloke who said he'd sign for it - took about an extra week.

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.
