I called Apple after I tried to registar and it would not take. I called Apple and told the guy I was invoiced for 10/7, the rep. told me that I needed to registar my powerbook and that I should try again in 24-48 hours, sure enough I tried again and it took. For the record, the rep. also told me that I was qualified. I also order the full version of Panther for my other computer, which does not qualify by a long shot.

How does one go about "re-registering" your Powerbook? You know that routine that you run through when you first install the OS? Of course I don't want to have to reinstall the OS and all my apps.

thanks - danbrew

Rerun the Setup Assistant. It's in the /System/Library/CoreServices folder.

Didn't work - that just ran through the routine to setup my ethernet/airport connectivity. No re-registration.
