I checked the Apple forums, but there was no real solution. Often I go to class, come back and my PowerBook is in sleep mode because it stopped charging. The only solution, well not really a solution, is unplugging it, then plugging it back in.

It often cuts off my downloads which makes it more annoying : |

Is there any known solution?

I'm guessing when you return that the light on the cord isn't on. Mine does the same thing if there is an electrical storm, high winds, etc. The power adapter just quits working till I unplug it and replug it in (cord between power cube and wall).

I would suggest using the grounded plug (3 prong) on a power surge adapter. Also make sure you don't have a lot of items using the same plug. Seems flucutations in current causes the power adapter to "switch off".

Yeah, I have it plugged into a strip with multiple sockets...all of which are full. I return and the charging light is off.

I leave my 12" PB in sleep mode quite often and once in twenty times, it will not "wake" up with out a reboot. They batteries automatically discharge down to about 95% and will recharge themselves.
