Picked up my PB12" 1ghz combo at last ^_^
Shipped with X.2.7 tho.
Gotta say it's a beauty, other than the iPod purchase a few months ago I'd forgotton how sweet Apple kit is.

Should I format to install Panther or upgrade? By formatting will I be able to consign OS9 to history? Been out of the OS X loop since Jag was released, seeing as we are stuck on 9.2.2 at work (forever) and I rarely use the missus' G4 other than to install stuff on it for her (she's on X.2.8, G4 AGP 400).

Congrats! I got the Al15 and I luuuuuuv it.

Upgrade. That's all you'll get from the up-to-date program no?

OS9's gonna work under 10.3 right? You just won't be able to boot in 9?

Use Apple's Up-To-Date program to get Panther for $19.95 & select the "Upgrade" option...the discs you'll recieve are actually the full install discs though

You'll still be able to boot into Classic, however the 12" PB cannot boot into the real OS9.

And CONGRATS!
