I would like to monitor the bandwidth used by certain users who use FTP.
I think it should be possible using Sawmill (www.sawmill.net) on the FTP log files.

But I can't find where the FTP log is kept on OS X server.
I'm using OS X server 10.2.7

Anyone know where the FTP log file is kept?

thanks

Ollio

I think it's in the same place as client, which is "/private/var/log/ftp.log".

No, that one is empty.

But found it /Library/Logs/FTP.transfer.log

by checking the content of my whole HD for a string that appears in the Server Status app FTP log
