Hi all,
I realize that this isn't the best place to ask, but maybe SOMEONE here has experience with it. I want to make a new kind of USB device, but I have no idea where to start in terms of hardware. Software's easy since I can do that myself, but I need to get something together for a personal project as a "proof of concept" and work from there. I really don't want to go into what it is (for obvious reasons) so any help would be appreciated.

Mike

If you have experience making hardware with RS-232 (serial), you can just use any USB to serial converter and hide it in the box. Your programming interface should be the same as if your device is connected through the serial port.

It should be enough for the "proof of concept".

Google with keywords: USB parallel, and check activewireinc.com
