I have seen a few different types of powerbook stands/cooling stands and was wondering if any one in particular is favored over the others. Raising the powerbook may give me a little more room to work on my desk - and they look so nifty.

I also vote for the Coolpad. It works great with my 12" Powerbook.

I vote for the iCurve by Griffin Technology, it is awesome, it elevates your laptop to your eye level, great for working, and it keeps it high to allow for good ar flow, and of course looks great! iCurve

"Best stand" is really a personal preference... Some questions you can ask yourself:

"Do I plan to use a separate keyboard/mouse?"

"Do I want/need to have active cooling (stand with built-in fan)?"

"Do I have a lot of devices connected?"

"Do I want the stand to be portable (and carry in a laptop bag)?"

I'm sure that there are others in this forum who could suggest additional questions for you to answer to yourself in your selection process.

Good-luck!

I was totally going to buy an iCurve, but I haven't yet, mainly because the cardboard box my 12" came in works as a great stand.

Cheap, but effective.
