I have movies myself, made in imovie, but how do I "host ' them if thats the right word .. ?

Do I need a server ( its all new to me!) ?

Yes, you need a place to serve them from such as .mac or any other. You can also do it from your home machine if you wanted/have the appropriate setup. The latter option is good if you just wanna host temporarily so your family and friends can download the movie(s). The former is best if you want it available all the time.
