Hey, now we got another update!
Though I don't haver Xcode, it does show up in SU. This is the 5th update in 24 hours for some of us?

They do that.
Be careful when you spot an update... they travel in packs

I hope they fixed that problem where the Return key doesn't dismiss the "Save changes before building/closing/quitting/whatever?" dialog.

This update is awesome! Not only does it fix the issue I mentioned above, but development/deployment builds actually work!
Meaning, if you have it set so debug symbols will be on for a dev build but not for a deployment build, or that optimization will be on only in the deployment build, it will actually honor that.
This is the first time in 3 years! The settings have always been there, but they've never worked.
They've also fixed shell script build phases so they don't run in parallel with the building and screw everything up, requiring ugly hacks to be inserted in the shell script to tie it up until building was done!

It seems as if it was pulled from SU.

That's odd. I wonder if there was some reason to pull it. I hope not...
I'm enjoying the new version, anyway. It turns out they've made it so you can set a separate keybinding for the new Code Sense Completion and the old Project Builder-style completion that only searched within the same file, but was much faster. Me like...

I think they pulled it since it was showing up on all machines, not just ones that had Xcode installed. It showed up on two of my Macs that didn't have Xcode. They're probably just fixing the SU prerequisites to have it appear only for Xcode users.

Xcode update was pulled. According to a post on the Apple Xcode mailing list:

Due to a server-side glitch, we had to pull the update. We are working
on the problem and I'll post when it is available again.
Scott
Oh well. I can wait.
I just want to know why I had to apply the Java 1.4.1 update AGAIN!

It says "improvements to CodeSense". Does that mean that it'll actually now work in Java for user defined classes, not just keywords?!
It used to work (within same file) in ProjectBuilder, but stopped working with Xcode.

^ ^ Yes. You can choose between the Project Builder way and the Xcode way, or you can assign a different shortcut to each of them.

For all who didn't catch it the first time, the update seems to be back up again.

Note that the 1.1 _update_ only updates the xcode IDE. It does not get you the newer versions of IB, gl profiler, updated documentation, etc.
You'll need to download the 588 meg xcode 1.1 cd from ADC to get everything.

My guess is Apple was trying to throttle bandwidth consumption...
[Edit] ah I didn't see one previous post - so it's some server glitch

I've noticed the built binaries are now smaller - in this case 50/960KB smaller. Also the binaries built outside is smaller - this is via the traditional UNIX configure/make way. So I guess there's something changed other than IDE?

Interesting. I hadn't realized they updated those. What's the new version number for IB?
