Has anyone had any experiences with using Bluetooth enabled phone such as Sony Ericsson T610 or Nokia 3650 from T-Mobil to connect to a G4 TiBook with a D-Links USB Bluetooth Adapter? TIA. Ben

I'm using a D-Link USB Bluetooth adapter with my T68i to connect through T-Mobile. Works like a champ!

Given that Bluetooth has a low, low bandwidth does it matter? USB 1 is far faster than the adaptor.

1 USB port s?
AFAIK, only the clamshell iBook featured only 1 USB port. All TiBooks should have 2 USB 1.1 ports

That doesn't matter. A USB2 device'll work fine with it.

As others have said, it doesn't matter. FYI, I am using it on a TiBook (USB1.1 ports) also.

Thank you for all your replies. I just ordered the Sony Ericsson T610and a D-Links USB Bluetooth Adapter. How hard is to configure the TiBook to get it connected? Are there any instructions anywhere? Ben

It is quite simple - just set the phone to be BT active, go to the bluetooth control panel (which appears when the adapter is connected), search for units and pair the two. That should be just about it :-)
Have fun!
Peter
p.s. forgot to mention - the general help menu can also guide you.
