What the heck are those mutated rats singing in the latest Quizno's commercials? I've heard "spongemonkey" being thrown around and a guy at work says that they were "popular" on the internet a few years ago.
Any clues? Links?

I really hate these things. I saw them a while back on the web, and find them incredibly abnoxious and annoying. Not funny at all.

my wife thinks it is a dead rat and will not eat Quiznos anymore. My sister is completely creeped out. The commercial is rather creepy, but the sandwiches still kick much ass.

I love their clam chowder, but God!
Singing a stupid song in a high pitched shrill squeak of a voice..
Do they actually think this will make people come rushing down for a sub?!

If I were questioning weather to go to and eat
there before, I am not going to now. It would
make me think of those rats on acid.
It actually makes me angry thinking about it.
Eat here, we don't serve dead rats.

oh yea.. I began to see those ads this week..
It is pathetic. What's wrong with their old/previous TV ads? Now.. it looks like a cheap Sub fast-food place...

I honestly thought that they were supposed to be pieces of bread.
Bread that had come to life and could speak.
It is truly one of the worst commercials I have ever seen. Quizno's is hard up.

awesome! Haven't seen the commercials, but have had a twisted fixation with Rathergood.com for some time. Hippo girl rocks. Am looking forward to seeing the annoying commercials.

I love it. TV needs more out-of-left-field weirdness like that, even if it's poached off the internet.
BTW, the beasties are actually tarsiers with human eyes and mouths.

If anything, the commerical caught my eye for it's weirdness...so on that note, it's done very well...will I rush off to my nearest Quizno's and buy a sandwich because of these ads?
No.

The ads are kinda hypnotic, in a freaky, turn-your-head-to-look-at-a-car-accident-as-you-drive-by sort of way.
I also think that $1 off with any coupon is a clever idea.
However, bottom line: I ate a Quizno's once, and it sucked.

I finally saw the commercial in question...
First my jaw dropped, then I just couldn't help but laugh. It's just so frickin stupid - with the right combination of Jared + that dam sock dog thing from the .com boom. Clever marketing, though I don't think it will last. I never go to Quiznos (nor any other fast food chain) anyway. But it was a good laugh. Totally bizarro!!

This is true; however, they are still in business...so I can't fault them for that until they go under...

My reaction as well. How many other commercials are discussed this week of the Superbowl? The people behind it are either 10 year olds or geniuses...I'm still not sure. Could this be the next Chihuahua?

Is it me or does their 'Q' logo at the end sorta resemble the quartz extreme logo?

I saw that for the first time last night, the first thing I thought was "Oh man, horrible flash animations have made it to TV..." If they're gonna do commercials like this I would like them to contract that weird 'gopher gopher gopher gopher gopher mushrooom mushroooooom' guy. At least his stuff was well done in an odd artsy kind of way, I'd love the occasional commercial like that. Not as repetitive and annoying though.

I think that the commercials are kind of comical. They do make you laugh. Quizno's has accomplished there goal, they have people talking about their product.

They remind me of something that the folks from Fear Factor would have to eat as a stunt.
Like cow snouts. Pig butts. That sort of thing.
Yucko.
