Is there a program that will tell me the difference between two chosen folders? (ie give me the files and folders that are in one folder and not in the other) I am not interested in syncing the folders, I only want to know the different files/folders.

I was thinking more along the lines of two different folders across a network. Can those programs do this?

If the folders of the other machine are mounted on the first then why not?

I think that Synk will do this in its 'Preview' mode.

I use this to synchronise files between my Powerbook and desktop machine, but you can also just compare any number of paired folders.
