What is your favourite scifi B-movie? I've seen a good number of them in my short time here in life, and I'd have to say my favourites are Plan 9 From Outer Space (Ed Wood, god bless him), and Attack of the Mantis, or whatever it's called. They are so ridiculously risible, I can't imagine how anybody ever took them seriously.

Martix 2 & 3 are the runners up
Dutifully performing dull little tasks.

Yeah. I remember when it was MST 0001, those where the days.

- The Rock was the best movie playing
- Escape from Rome
- The Perfect Storm

Oh, the list goes on... eternally.

Seriously.
MST2000 was awesome, and so is MST3000.

It would probably have to be a tie between Attack of the Killer Shrews and Cave Dwellers (well the whole Ator series, really)

I can tell you that the worst Sci-Fi "B movie" was Star Wars: Phantom Menace (although it probably had a budget more than $20,000)

I recently tried watching it again and I couldn't get past 10 minutes into the movie. Gods it was horrible.

I don't think it does. Bruce Willis, Luc Besson, Gary Oldman, a real script...

My absolute favorite B-Movie:

Paul Verhoeven's "Starship Troopers".

Yes exactly! Why waste money on good actors, or even a good script when we can spend it all on cool effects!

I need to get that on DVD...

Silent Running - a really cool hippie-like spaced-out SF movie. Well, not really cool, but they have some funky hairdos and early 70's style music

Dagon. That chick in it gives me the creeps, but yet excites me at the same time.

Not the Sci-Fi cut version.

Well, the plot *is* based on futuristic scientific developments...I guess.

(BTW: Ralf Knig's original comic "Kondom des Grauens" is screamingly funny - as are nearly all his comic books - and much better than the movie.)

Best Harryhausen ever, awesome fight between the Ymir and an elephant, Rome reduced to rubble, and William Hopper to boot!

I will also watch "Reptilicus" every time I catch it on TV.

Plan 9 is uber camp!

The 1957 classic War of the Worlds is worth your time. Campy sci-fi fun. Love those saucers with the periscope weapons!

Check out the entire Godzilla series, and Rodan.

Day of the Triffids is very good, apart from a shamefully maudlin ending.
