The only diving done by owners of these watches is done in the vicinity of their boss's arse. Total plonker decor.
Bring back manual winding. Prospective purchasers of these toys will always have a spare free hand looking for a purpose.

Me too. I have a $60 Fossil Blue with one of those bubble-shaped faces. A lot of people who saw me right after i got it about 2.5 years ago asked me about it, thinking it was some expensive watch.

I'm a big fan of Fossil. Nice looking watches that don't cost too much. I'm on my second one in 8 years (I lost my first). They will keep getting my money, too bad for them that it's not very much money.

For me a watch is jewelry for men, that's why I have a $1000 Fortis!
The $5 McDonald's watch I bought 3 years ago is still more precise though

By the time I have the money I will get myself a TAG Heuer Carrera

Yes, fugly is "****ing ugly"

I mean the brown TAG Heuer Carrera.

Godawful. And very cheap looking, IMO.

Thats the best looking watch IMO posted on this thread so far , not too flashy and easy to read. Nice choice!!

I prefer Omega for fancy watches. They used to offer the X33 with a kevlar wrist strap.

For the record; Casio G-Shock for work and play, Omega Seamaster at all other times!

that is a nice advertisement, almost certainly done for the tradeshow, hence it's length. Nice 3D work.

The watch is very interesting! I do wonder about the long-term durability of the drive belts. Gear driven watches have proven to be reliable and long lasting, hence their use for the last 3-400 years.

To all those that are saying "why buy that when a $30 watch will do the same." You simply don't get it, but that's OK. High-end watches, like any fine man-made object are true works of art. They are bought for their exclusivity, their design, their craftmanship, and the amazing technical and artistic skill used to create them. They do not tell time better than a cheap quartz watch. In fact, they often tell worse time. But they harken back to a fine tradition, and a day long past, and that is appealing to many people. Some of the truly amazing watches take a single watchmaker months to produce, and you don't find that dedication in much of anything in our disposable society. I cannot imagine spending $50k on a watch either, but I am wearing an $900 watch right now, and it truly is a special piece. I often take it off, just to look at the back and admire the fine workings. I frankly do not care if other people notice (and most wouldn't, as it's rather plain looking) but I know.

If you don't get it, that's fine. Some people do, however, and like any other consumer product, it brings those that apprciate it some happiness.
