cant load iphoto pics

I tried to change the icon of my Album folder in my iphoto folder in the finder (dont ask why it was a dumb thing I was bored) and now it wont load in iphoto...just the spinning wheel. Can someone help me reconnect iphoto to my library?
I switched the icon back but still nothing.
heres what the log says:
2004-05-06 10:34:55.209 iPhoto[304] Exception raised during posting of notification. Ignored. exception: *** -[NSPlaceholderString initWithString:]: nil string (or other) argument
2004-05-06 10:35:51.410 iPhoto[304] unreadable file: Albums

2004-05-06 10:44:09.601 iPhoto[312] Can't read Album from /Users/george/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Albums/Icon

Repair Permissions using Disk Utility.

didnt work...
I tried that earlier, along with forced prebinding and other cron tasks.
No luck!
I am so surprised that this program is so delicate that simply changing an icon causes complete disfunction.
