I just got my new 15" Powerbook. The first thing I did was a restore so I could save some space by not installing all the unnecessary language files. Well, I'm not sure if iDVD was there before I did the restore, but I can't find it now. It's not on either of the two restore disks. Has this happened to anyone else, or do I have it and I'm just not sure where to look.
Thanks
P.S. This is my first Mac, so maybe I do have the program somewhere, I jus have no idea where to look.

What is the best way to identify the DVD drive. I went to about this Mac and I think the model number is: matshita dvd-r uj825

Is that drive the same one for all you other SuperDrive people? Thanks

Yes, that's the superdrive. IIRC, iDVD is on the Software Restore disc 2 along with Garageband.

iDVD is installed in the Applications folder - if it isn't there then it hasn't been installed.

Download Pacifist (search www.macupdate.com or www.versiontracker.com for it) and use that to install it. Pacifist lets you see and install the individual .pkg installers from the disks.
