Just in case you missed it, BrassPaper is now at version Beta3.

Added a new version with more standard menus and title bar, and generally tweaked stuff all over.

I personally think you should tone the textures down a lot, but that's just me. I really like the structure of this theme. The day before you posted the first beta I was fooling around with a menu design that was pretty similar. Keep up the good work. I like the way this theme is going, but it seems a bit too loud as it is currently.

Yes, I have to admit there isn't much subtlety in this theme.
Are you suggesting the colour is too much, or the texture should be flatter (less variation)?

I just looked over those K-Schemes you posted. Most of them don't really use textures. Why are you making mostly texture themes in OS X? I'd really like to see a smooth theme from you DT, because those K-Schemes look really good.

Perhaps a port of Snow or Crossover?

I would love to see you update your iPacks to iContainers for use in OSX.

Thanks,
Good point...
I was going to disagree with you, since I remember many of the textured ones more than the others. However, after looking back through them I must admit, the textured ones are out numbered.
Most of my schemes came about by trying to do something that hadn't been done before... then finding something that sorta worked... and creating a few variations with that template... then I'd go looking for another angle to try out.
Always looking for something new.
(the snowman scheme for example had a big 'Leroy was here' face over the top of the titlebar) lol =)
Often my schemes were trying to make surfaces graduate in more than one direction at once, while attempting to maintain a level of 3D realism, as they were stretched and tiled.

I mostly prefer an interface that feels tangible, real, and has depth.

I guess I am making mostly (2 so far) textured Themes at the moment, because so many others seem to be molding glass and plastic.

Although Aqua is very 'pretty'... I'd like to see Themes give us all the choice to move away from it.
'Snow' and 'Crossover' are interesting choices =)
Snow has very strong link to Aqua... The snow series were a bit like having aqua colours and shapes on os9 template. Strongly influenced by Aqua.
And Crossover was an attempt to bring the osX smoothness and design back to OS9.

I can promise you that I will be taking Themes in many other directions,
as many directions as Apple's interface structure, Themepark/Shapeshifter advances, and time allows, and my imagination can manage.
=)

Sweet theme. But you're still missing the "up" scrollbar arrow (for those of us who don't keep both arrows at the same end of the scrollbar).

Do you think this might be fixed in b4?

Hi DragonT. Cool theme! Just thought I'd let you know that I have my scroll bars set to together top and bottom using TinkerTool and the top scroll arrows aren't skinned. Other than that I think it's very innovative, love the gears.

Thanks!
Alex
