That was not leaked yesterday. It was "leaked" right before last year's WWDC. It was supposedly a shot of Panther, although it turned out to be completely fake.

Oh I can't resist:
On just the thought of comparing old to new OS:
Doing some rooting around earlier today and found the first game released by Apple for the Mac. Copyright 1984/83. I love the "hidden in a book" design.
Lacking a floppy drive I can't show a screen shot of the program, and sadly, it was clock speed dependent, so by the time the MacPlus came out, there was no hope of winning against the computer. It was blinding fast, on, uh, 8 Mhz?

Heh. Screenshot says "Version 10.3 (build 7D15)" ... even on my box it states that I'm running "Version 10.3.4 (build 7H63)". Unless the good folks at Apple suddenly started counting build numbers backwards, this screenshot's a pile of crap (*surprise*).
And the word on piles is that they're a useless pile of crap.

There are plenty of other things around here that create "piles" I don't think that the OS needs to as well.

I really don't get this piles BS. Why in the world would that be a helpful feature? How is it better than a folder?
To paraphrase innumerable people, it sounds like a solution searching for a problem.

I think the people who want this feature have no reason for it other than to say they have it.

gomanute wishes that he could use the "Alternate Disk" described in the Macintosh 128K instruction manual instead of the disk swapping method that the engineers came up with after the manuals were printed.
