I have installed pascal-fc on my computer for a concurrent programming paper. Now everytime i opne the terminal it runs the pascal-fc compiler. How do i make the terminal just open normally?

Assuming you are using 10.3, check out your .profile and .bashrc and see if there are lines there that make it autostart, if so, delete them.

I am using 10.3.
I am using the tcsh shell not bash and I have looked in .tcshrc, nothing in there that I can see would auto start it.
Where is .profile stored? I can't see it in my user folder.

Have you also looked in ~/.cshrc? I use the tcsh shell as well and I have all of my login stuff in .cshrc.

Still no luck, tried looking in .cshrc, with nothing about launching pascal-fc.
Any other ideas?

Maybe you've saved a terminal window with a command in it
Try to put you terminal prefs to the trash (don't empty it !) and launch terminal

That was the problem.
I looked through the terminal prefs and found a line that says
<key>ExecutionString</key>
<string>/Users/martin/pfc-gnu-sources/pfccomp; exit</string>
Should i delete these lines? or the whole prefs file?
Thanks for the help guys
