Well, I have had my G3 a bit over a year, and this will be the second logic board failure it has had. I'll be bringing it in when I have time over the weekend. Do you think they will replace it with a new one since they are defective?

I agree. Mine has failed 5 times in the past two years. It wasn't until this last failure that Apple FINALLY agreed to give me a replacement. In fact, their giving me a new iBook G4 1GHz, with a free Airport Extreme card. Only problem, it's been over one week and I still haven't received my replacement.

Maybe I can talk them into it. I agree, I have a slim chance.

My iBook G3 800 just blew its second logic board this year. I sent it back to Apple after demanding a replacement iBook. I knew my chances were slim and they did say no. I'm sure this won't be the last time this will happen, so every time it does, I am going to push them to give me a replacement iBook.
This logic board thing is nuts. I've owned 6 Apple laptops over the past 11 years and I NEVER had one tiny glitch with any of them, except this one. Oh well, it is still better than using XP.
